The lesson is probably, never let your streaming computer do anything except stream….
I’m assuming this is someone browsing porn on a computer that also is responsible for the stream because come on, those moans sounded somewhat younger than their demographic!

There are times when most of us have left the mic. up. I was tought many years ago that “The mic. is live at all times” therefore I’m always careful when in the studio. A few people have found this out in the past to their cost.
When I first worked in radio we hadn’t time to do anything other than the show as each track had to be cued up whilst the other was playing plus there were times when we had to log the details by hand for PRS.
If you needed to go to the loo you had to put a longer track on.
Clearly someone at the station was watching porn! Why can’t I stop laughing?!

My problem is not the moanin and groanin. It’s that that the music that was being played was not jazz. Jazz is the art of spontaneous impovisation. What was playing was neither spontaneous or improvisational. Another example of a great artform being diluted by the media powers that be. AARRGGHH!!!!!

It sounded like the DJ was getting his rocks off, NOT a porn site. That was too much and too real life hand sounds as well as the rest for me to believe he was watching porn. NO he was doing some porn live while at work!

Ofcom’s report said a member of station staff “opened a personal email on the studio computer and accessed a weblink containing pornographic content; but by mistake left the sound fader linked to this computer open on the broadcast console. This resulted in the broadcast of the audio of the pornographic content.”
